Santander Consumer Bank Starts Cooperation with Plenti

Additional recruitment is complete for Santander Consumer Bank, the bank for loans under the second round of the AccelUp programme. It will soon result in cooperation between the leader of the consumer finance market in Poland and Plenti.

Santander Consumer Bank has recently joined the group of technology recipients in the AccelUp programme. Taking into account interest of startups injoining our program, we decided to open an additional application window with our partner that allowed another startup – Plenti – to start the acceleration process in the #fintech path. Startups in the AccelUp programme are mature companies with products or services ready for implementation. We are waiting for good results of cooperation of all 12 startups participating in the second round of the programme with our strategic partners – says Hubert Anyżewski, Managing Partner & Co-founder Accelpoint.

AccelUp is an acceleration programme launched by Accelpoint which connects mature startups in fintech, insurtech and telco industries with global corporations. The programme participants receive non-refundable financial support of up to 200 000 PLN and know-how in the form of 100 hours of consultations with outstanding market experts. They also have the opportunity to present their idea to a group of representatives of global VC funds and establish business contacts with program partners.

The group of technology recipients – strategic partners includes: Santander Bank Polska, Santander Consumer Bank, Orange Polska and AXA Partners. Programme partners include  IBM, Microsoft, Accenture, Squire Patton Boggs, and Flying Bisons.

The programme is implemented in cooperation with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. The Accelpoint Accelerator received support under Measure 2.5. of the Smart Growth Operational Programme, “Acceleration Programmes”.

It is not without reason that we decided to cooperate with Plenti, because we see a change in consumer habits and a trend of subscribing to services and items more often at times when we exactly need them without having to own them – says Maciej Dąbrowski, Director of the Strategy and Innovation Department at Santander Consumer Bank – a credit-based bank. – At Santander Consumer Bank, we look at innovations from the point of view of both the end user and our partners. The Polish consumer finance market certainly still has a considerable potential to offer new solutions that meet the needs of customers, such as the progressive digitalization of purchasing processes or the shared economy.
