We are pleased with the growing interest in the AccelUp programme – we received almost 160 applications in the second round for our three paths: #fintech, #insurtech, and #telco. Our group of partners continues to grow – both technology recipients and content partners, and experts too. The quality of submitted projects is also growing. AccelUp attracts startups that are mature, ready to implement and even those that already function commercially. In other words, startups that can really scale-up after our acceleration process. Dariusz Paczewski, digital & innovation leader, Santander Bank Polska:
Cooperation with Accelpoint in the Acceleration Programme creates space for safe testing of startup services, and consequently increases the chances of providing our customers with innovative solutions. I consider the first round of acceleration to be a success, in terms of getting to know the best fintech in the market, conducting tests but also commercialization. We know what challenges we face and believe that innovative startup ideas will help us to address them. In the first round in Santander Bank Polska we conducted five accelerated projects in the “proof of concept” phase, at least two of which have the potential to be implemented in the bank. The pilot was carried out in the areas of digitalization of document circulation with the use of Machine Learning technology, improvement of customer communication processes in call center units and introduction of new financial products for retail customers. The second round is an opportunity for us to test new startup solutions and we are looking forward to it.
Tomáš Mrnka, Country Manager Poland, AXA Partners:
For AXA Partners, cooperation with InsureTech companies is part of a global long-term strategy in which we consistently focus on development. We see great potential in cooperation with startups, which, thanks to innovative projects, can support us in this activity. Accelerating digitalization entails a change of attitudes and needs of customers. In order to meet their expectations and ensure a stable partnership, we need to adopt new technologies to a much wider range than before. We are pleased that thanks to cooperation within the AccelUp project we can share our experience and actively shape trends in this area. We are committed to innovation that will translate into a positive customer experience at every point of contact with our company and provide the highest level of customer experience.
The main areas we are currently focusing on are: travel insurance and assistance, consumer electronics protection and health care.We are convinced that together with selected startups we will be able to develop new solutions that will provide our customers with a feeling of safety and comfort at an even higher level, at every stage of their everyday life.
Joanna Bruździak-Maleszewska, Head of Incubation and New Solutions Department, Orange Polska:
This is the second round of the programme with Orange as the technology recipient in the telco path. In this edition, IoT solutions are the main focus as a strategic objective for Orange in the coming years. Similarly to the first round, many interesting solutions were submitted. When selecting companies for cooperation, the main criteria were the maturity of the solution and the possibility of commercialization. We hope that at the end of our cooperation we’ll find synergies with selected companies, leading to commercial implementation. We have a lot of interesting and rewarding work ahead of us.
