Santander Bank Polska met with fintech companies and startups at the 4th edition of Innovation Daythat to present solutions with the potential to support the bank and its clients in fields like security, digitization of documents, digital transformation, and financial services.
This year’s Innovation Day took place at the Santander Bank Polska Relational Technology Center on June 18th. Companies participating in the event were selected by the Digital Innovation Bureau of the bank based on independent market research. Guests included startups focused on cybersecurity – their projects may be implemented in the largest private bank in Poland. Innovation, business model compatibility of the and maturity of the offered solutions were reviewed by experts. Isee you and Techmo voice technologies presented their work on raising security standards. Participants also included Autenti, Identt, focusing on finger prints (solutions in the field of behavioral biometry and continuous authentication), Ic solutions (a comprehensive solution for digitizing data, improving security and elimination of paper documents), and Protectauth with its solutions for increasing mobile and internet security.
– Innovation day gives an opportunity to directly establish business relations between the world of startups and the bank. It’s a starting point for cooperation. We want to create added value for clients and promote Polish innovations in the Santander Group by supporting our most promising projects. Polish fintechs have great potential, the sector is growing rapidly, and with it the ability to create technological solutions with international reach – said Dariusz Paczewski, innovation officer Santander Bank Poland.
Innovation Day also inaugurated the first round of the AccelUp Acceleration Programme with Santander Bank Polska as a key partner. The project is intended for mature startups from the fintech sector offering solutions ready for implementation. Companies qualified for AccelUp, apart from the possibility of participating in Innovation Day, receive subsidies of up to PLN200,000. PLN and business mentoring: 100 hours of consultations with experts. Startups will also be eligible to apply for support from international investors including the Santander InnoVentures fund.
This is the fourth edition of Innovation Day organized by Santander Bank Polska (previously Bank Zachodni WBK). In previous editions, presented solutions spanned fields including travel, motorization, real estate, and health care. The last edition of the event was an opportunity to start closer cooperation between the bank and social innovators, whose ready-made solutions were of high value and fit into the bank’s activities in the broadly understood social activities, in particular in the context of counteracting elderly exclusion in society.
